Instructional Programme [2010]
In this page, we bring to you a collection of the innovative ideas in the year 2010, adopted by the teaching staff to make learning a more interesting experience for students.
Real Data to Teach Regression and to Motivate Students
In the lesson on Linear Regression, students were given real life data (for e.g. their Additional and Elementary Mathematics grades obtained in ‘O’ levels and their H1 Block Test results). They were required to draw statistical inferences from the data and comment on the relationship between the two variables. Through this exercise, students were able to appreciate the relevance and applications of mathematics in real life. This also generated enormous interest in Linear Regression amongst students.

Information Technology in Physical Education
Description of innovation:
1. Dance Module
To spark off interest in exercising, the students were introduced to a Dance module. In this module, the students were taught of the dance moves (by instructors and videos). After which, each student have to
- choose a partner they want to work with,
- choose 10 items from the syllabus list,
- choose an appropriate music to develop a video of their routine
- submit their video via litespeed or soft copy with a copy of their routine listed.
2. Use of litespeed
To ascertain their entry level in dance and what each student hope to achieve in the module, the students have to do a survey on-line via litespeed.
