There are no boundaries as to where innovation takes place. Even though the college is a place of teaching and learning, innovative ideas should not be limited to how we teach and how we learn. It should encompass all other aspects of our life. Thus, in the college environment, we have catergorised our innovations into 3 broad catergories, namely Administration, Instructional Programmes and Non-Instructional Programmes.
Administration refers to areas that do not fall under any structured programmes that the college has. These can include the day-to-day administrative matters, a periodic or one-off event, or any innovative idea that helps to make the college run more effectively or efficiently.
Instructional Programmes, as the name implies, refers to the academic aspect of college life. Besides teaching content-based subjects in classrooms innovatively, staff are also recognised for promoting awareness in these content-based subjects through college-wide activities or events.
Non-Instructional Programmes refers to the structured holistic programmes that the college has to develop students' character and skills beyond academia pursuits. Such programmes include the Student Leadership Development Programme, Service-Learning and Scholars Development Programme.
