On the 7th of december 2008, the 3rd annual band dinner was held at Quality Hotel.
Our principal, Mr Kwek Hiok Chuang, our teachers-in-charge Mrs Judy Tan, Mr James Chia and Ms Pauline Peh as well as our conductor Mr Brando Tan were invited to join us for this occasion.

The theme for this year's band dinner is "colourful" and the vagueness of the theme allowed everyone to utlize their resourcefulness to appear colourful yet formal for the event.

Game masters Elijah, Xiang Yun and James mixed a couple of table games such as Treasure Hunt and a "Decode-the-brallie-message-game" to drum up the atmosphere in the ballroom for the highlight event of the night; Don't Forget The Lyrics - NYJCSB Style!

The choice of songs ranges from Singapore-related to Disney and oldies, including choices like Home, Mickey Mouse March, Beauty and the Beast, Dancing Queen and 月亮代表我的心, specially reserved for our principal Mr Kwek!

Being the patrotic singaporeas the band members are, most of them picked the Singapore Category where they found their patrotism put to the test in the form of lyrics! Breaking the ice was Douglas Chan who opted for "We Are Singapore" !

The teachers were not spared as well as Mr James Chia took the brunt from the VIP table's to do the singing for the 1st round. With his choice of song, "One People One Nation One Singapore", Mr James Chia showed that his days in choir aren't wasted and had absolutely no trouble with the song, scoring bonus points for the teachers table.

The past two band dinner featured a best dress competiton and this year's no exception as well!
After a series of votes and embrassing (or not?) catwalks on the stage, we're proud to present this year's best dressed winners to be Jerry and Keisha!

Following that was the presentation of certificates of presentation to the JC2s as well as the lucky draw, featuring an ipod classic , 120 GB memory space with a set of extra earpiece and a 3 year warranty thrown in. Ooo La La!

After a heart pounding moment where Mrs Judy Tan reached for a ticket in the glass bowl for a number that will determine the winner for the prize, it is revealed to be Anabel!

Of course, 9 other respectable prizes were given out via lucky draw as well to ensure everyone has a shot at winning something. The band dinner was concluded with a video dedication made by the JC1 batch in which their last words were said to the graduating batch, bidding them farewell and wishing them the best in their future endeavors.
