Shell-MOE Band Fiesta I

@ Singapore Botanic Gadrens

On the 13th July 2008, the Nanyang Symphonic Band took part in part 1 of the thirdteenth SHELL-MOE Band Fiesta. Appearing with Nanyang Junior College is four other SYF Gold band schools, namely, Rosyth Primary School, Xingnan Primary School, Nanyang Girls’ High School and Commonwealth Secondary School.

Back by popular demand, the Nanyang Symphonic Band played 'Peter and the Wolf" which the cast certaintly entertained the crowd at the Singapore Botanic Gardens!

Aside from that, the Band also played Rock N Roll Explosion in which some gimicks were incoporated into the playing of the piece to bring up the mood for the performance!

This is the first performance done mainly by the current JC1 batch and it certaintly gave the us the much needed experience especially since the JC2 batch have already stepped from band to focus on their academic results.

Kudos to the JC2s that came back to help out for this event!
