Band Dinner

Our second annual band dinner, held on 27th November 2007, was an event organized by the Band EXCO in celebration of the efforts of the graduating J2 cohort.

Our Principal, Mr Kwek, together with our 3 teachers in charge, Mr Foo, Mr Neo and Mrs Tan joined us for our retro themed dinner. The emcess for the night, Jane and Eunice also acting as game masters for the various table games were wonderful in creating the atmosphere of the dinner.

Table games such as Watermelon Game, Zhong Zi Mi Ma and Limbo garnered the fun-loving spirit of the band as each table tried to out do each other to win attractive prizes and receive interesting forfeits. There was an also a best dressed competition where Mr Kwek and the teachers selected a few participants for the mini pageant. The eventually winners were Shao Ming (for the second year running!) and Mei Ying. To make sure that each one had a chance to not go home empty handed, a lucky draw was also held, with the prizes sticking close to the retro theme.

It was a night of food, fun and games and also a celebration of NYJC Symphonic Band's successes and achievements. Not only did the juniors get to say an official final goodbye to our beloved seniors, the friendship amongst us were strengthened as we end 2007. The batch that will lead 2008 promises to be a wonderful one, carrying on the hardwork and legacy the seniors left us.
