Junior Band Festival

The 7th Junior Band Festival was held on 4th September 2007. It is an annual event organised by Mr. Brando Tan, the resident conductor of Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Common Wealth Secondary School, Xinmin Secondary School and Nanyang Junior College.

Overall, six Junior Bands and one primary school band were featured in the event. They had come together to share their musical knowledge and expertise with one another. The Band was invited to perform as a guest band.

When the concert was about to begin, the concert hall was brimming with people . The main objective of this concert was to allow the parents to witness the hard work which the Junior Band members had put in for this concert.

The band had gained exposure in performing in the public. This is the first time which the J1s performed together in the public. The bond among the band became stronger than before. The band also hoped to inspire the junior band members through our music playing. In addition, the band hoped to show how music making can mould one into a more matured and disciplined individual. Since we are the music makers while the music lasts!
