Trumpet Section

Hi! Welcome to the trumpet section!
The trumpet is the highest brass instrument in register, above the horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba. Being one of the most versatile of instruments, it is capable of caressing any stylistic or cultural boundary.A trumpet can be heard in any kind of music from a classical orchestra to a jazz band. The trumpet’s bright and piercing sound usually plays the melody. Since the middle Ages, the trumpet, more than any other instrument, was associated with pomp and pageantry. It was known as the "nobleman" among musical instruments, because trumpet performers stood at the king's right hand like how it is so prominent in playing the fanfares of today.

Currently our section consist of four players:

Clara Oh
(aka "ah man") In case you are wondering...I am a girl but probably the most "chor lor" one you will ever see. Probably the most demanding sl that the members have ever faced, but I love my section alot nonetheless albeit being evil and unreasonable at times. Thanks to them I really enjoy being in the section and I really owe them for being so tolerant with me.

Felicia Ong
(aka auntie no.1 aka bimbo) No doubt the most cheerful girl in our section, she never fails to entertain the section (although in the course of it becoming a victim to our jokes. She is one who will work hard in her playing and will never give up no matter what situation she faces.

Samuel Chong
(aka ??????) No nicknames for this guy...well anyway being the only guy(excluding me the 1/2 guy) he certainly survives well. Quiet on the surface you never know what he's thinking inside.(perverted stuff? JKJK) An avid fan of Beethoven and Mahler symphonies he never fails to provide music for us whenever we travel on the bus. Also a hardworking trumpeter he contributes a great deal to the section laughter and we can't do without him in the section.

Chong Yanling
(aka auntie no.2) Co-founder of 110.5 fm she is one crazy girl filled with the crapiest jokes in the section.(shall not go into details about 110.5fm...those who know will know =D)You can always count on her to suport the section sound with a strong base (and probably spoting of handsome guys...lols). She and Felicia will make the best pair of aunties you will ever see.

Althoug our characters are worlds apart from each other but together we will form the most incredible section you will see, aiming for greater heights with our playing and cultivating a passion for music none can compare.
