Our Services

The following is a list of services provided by the Student Council for NYJCians:

• Rental of Connect & Contact Point (C2 Point)



Strategically located near the canteen, the Connect & Contact Point was created with the purpose of increasing communication amongst NYJCians. The Connect & Contact Point is available for loan to all student groups and student groups are encouraged to use it to promote their CCAs and other student-initiated events.

If you have any enquiries or wish to rent the C2 Point, you can contact our C2 Point Manager, Eunice Bek Si Hui (nyjc34sc.eunice@gmail.com).

• Feedback Channel (Online)

The Feedback Channel located within the NYXchange is an online platform for NYJCians to provide feedback to improve the college. Students can pose questions on the school administration for clarification or give feedback via the Student Council, so as to improve Quality School Experience.

• Get High! Sessions


Get HIGH! Sessions allow student groups to organize events, coordinated by the Student Council. NYJCians may initiate an activity by sending in their proposal. The events will be held during common lunch break in the college. NYJCians who know of external organisations or interest groups that may be of interest to fellow NYJCians are encouraged to send in the information.

• Advertisement for Events

NYJCians who are interested to advertise their events to the rest of the student body can approach us for help to make use of the following channels:

a) Posters
- Have to be laminated or placed on coagulated hard boards.
- Not to be pasted directly on walls with tapes or blue tag. Advised to use twines or strings.
- To be signed by members from the Executive Committee (Exco) before usage.
- To be removed the following Wednesday 5pm after the event ended.
- Places that are not allowed to place posters include: The Drum, area outside Staff Room, inside toilets and the elevator, around biometric attendance scanners, and the Ebloiussant (outside LT4).

b) Student Council Website
- 3 ways of advertising: Simple Event Date and Timing, A Text which can be made interesting to introduce the event/project, or a poster/image.

c) C2 Point Notice Board
Interested students can contact our C2 Point Manager Eunice Bek (nyjc34sc.eunice@gmail.com).

• Lost & Found

The Student Council provides an avenue for NYJCians to retrieve their lost items, which is managed by the Welfare Committee (Welco). NYJCians are advised to refer to the Lost and Found website http://ny-lostandfound.livejournal.com/ for more information.

• Rental of Items

College ties can be rented at $8, with a refund of $7 when returned. Coagulated boards can be rented at $1, with a refund of $0.50 when returned. Other items that can be rented include pails.
Rental time is 2 weeks, where overdued items are charged at $0.20 per day.
