1. Is council time eating?

This boils down to time management. Of course, you may have to sacrifice some other aspects of life, but rest assured with proper managing of stress and time, you will not face much problem and can do well in both CCA and school work.

2. If so, then how do I manage>

There is no hard-and-fast rule to time management, but what we can advice you are the very "cliche" advice like "Planning a work schedule" or "Prioritise your things".

3. What do I stand to gain?

You would gain an array of invaluable values and qualities, and also other non-quantifiable things. Such include fruitful leadership experiences, personal learning and improvement on personality. All councillors can be a testimony of such. One thing many would tell you is about the strong bonds and friendship forged through council.

Besides, the Student Council is exposed to many activities both in and out of the college. These range from helping out in college events to attending leadership seminars and visiting other colleges.

4. Why should I join council?

People join council for different reasons. But some things generally in common would be the friendship and personal learning and skills enhancement. These are two things we can assure you for sure.

5. What kind of people is the 33rd Student Council looking for? If I have no leadership experience, can I join?

We are looking for people with previous leadership experiences to bring the college to greater heights, as the Student Council is an important student driving force for the college's improvement. If you have no leadership experience, you are still welcome to join, and we will provide the best possible training to ensure you can take on this endeavour. Besides, you have your peers to help you grow and improve.
