Objectives
of Windsurfing
The objective of the programme is to allow interested students to
attain basic level 1 windsurfing qualifications consisting of windsurfing
onshore 1 and onshore 2 (following experiencing windsurfing orientation)
through a more comprehensive 6 hour programme.
Description
of Programme
In the windsurfing level 1 course, the course is broken into 2 session/parts:
Onshore 1 (3 hours): 1) Introduction to parts of a windsurfer. 2)
Secure position 3) Sailing Position 4) 180 degree turn 5) Steering
6) Safety and self-rescue techniques. Onshore 2 (3 hours) 1) Upwind
and tacking 2) Downwind and Gybing 3) Sailing rules (Right Of Way
etc)
Prerequisites
To be able to swim 50m with buoyancy vest

Attire:
PE attire and covered shoes. Bring a set of clothes to change
