Objectives of Two Star Kayaking
To refine and improve upon the peddler’s existing abilities
- To encourage novices to further their kayaking experience
- To develop a better understanding of how the environment affects paddling
- To gain knowledge of expeditionary practices and roles

Description of Programme
The 2 Star Kayaking Course is aimed at paddlers who wish to progress into the next level of kayaking (Beginner - Intermediate). Intermediate level maneuvers will be taught which will enhance the overall understanding of boat control and further enhance the overall proficiency of his/her kayaking. Participants will be introduced to the spray-skirt, which prevents entry of water into the cockpit.

Prerequisites
To be able to swim 50m with buoyancy vest

Time: 0800-1400

No.of sessions: 3 days

Dates: 10/5, 17/5 and 8/6

Venue: Paddle Culture @ Kallang Basin

No. of students (per session): 10 - 20

Cost per student: $37.50 subsidised, $37.50 edusave or cash
(50% subsidised by school, 50% edusave or cash paid by student )

Attire: PE attire and covered shoes. Bring a set of clothes to change
