Objectives
of Pilates
This workshop aims to expose participants to the breadth of the
Pilates work and introduce them to basic body awareness which includes
posture, breathing and balance. This will in turn equip them with
tools on how to care and protect their body and be more efficient
in doing functional daily activities.
Description
of Programme
In this Program, participants are exposed to a whole spectrum of
Pilate’s principles, movement fundamentals and basic Pilates mat
work exercises. The workshop will commence with a brief talk on
Pilates and its benefits. Then, the instructor will also run through
a quick posture check and give some simple tips on back care. After
this, the instructor will lead them to an hour of Pilate’s workout
whereby they will be introduced to a series of challenging, low
impact, high intensity exercises that will target their deep core
muscles while working on balance, control of movement, flexibility,
strength and breath.
