1) What makes you want to join Student Council?
For me personally, I felt that I was not really given opportunities in my previous secondary school to participate in leadership activities. Also, I want to contribute to the student body in NYJC, and joining Student Council will allow me to do that.
2) Why should people vote for you to join Student Council?
I believe Student Council will provide me with many opportunities to contribute to group discussions, and as being direct is in my character, I believe I will be able to speed up decision making processes.
3) Do you think you will be able to handle the heavy workload of both school and Student Council?
I think I will be able to juggle both schoolwork and Student Council. All I require will be self-discipline and time management and I’ll be able to handle the added pressures adequately enough.
4) What qualities do you think you possess that can be used to improve college life?
I’m direct and to the point. I think this will help to save a lot of time in the planning of various events in the college.
5) Name a particular flaw that you have. How will joining Student Council help you to change this?
I’m a big procrastinator. If I am able to join Student Council, I believe that my fellow Student Council members will keep pushing me not to leave what can be done today for tomorrow. Also, joining Student Council will put me in many positions where I have to be decisive and make decisions on the spot.
What makes you want to join the Student Council?
I had a very good and enjoyable time in the Communications branch during the Student Council Internship. I managed to make new friends and build bonds, and I believe joining the Student Council will allow me to have more opportunities to build more friendships.
Why should people vote for you?
I may not have good skills that some of my fellow Student Council nominees possess, but nevertheless I’ll try my best to put in my best effort for Student Council. So I hope that my promise of being hardworking and my desire to be in Student Council will allow me to be one of your choices.
Do you think you will be able to handle the workload of both school and the Student Council?
I’ll be honest, and I’ll admit that I cannot guarantee 100% that I’ll be able to juggle everything that is thrown at me. This is why I believe that good time management is going to be very important, as with that I believe it will not pose that much of a problem to me.
What qualities do you have that you think can be used to improve college life?
Being a foreigner, I’ll bring a different culture to the table for NYJCians. This will allow them to more about other countries and cultures. NYJCians can be able to understand other cultures more through me.
Name a particular flaw that you think you have. How will joining the Student Council be able to help you kick this bad habit?
I don’t have the best communication skills. Joining Student Council will provide me with many opportunities to be able to stand up in public and voice my opinions.

What makes you want to join the Student Council?
I feel that Student Council would be a great platform for me to develop myself both personally and interpersonal skills which i find are essential for the working world.

I feel that iI able to serve to the fullest of my ability in Student Council and that I would really like to be part of it.
Do you think you will be able to handle the workload of both school and the Student Council?
Having juggled my school work and my numerous CCA commitments in secondary school, I am confident that i would be able to strike a balance. For additional information, I used to take part in Symphonic Band being a Section Leader (Percussion) as well as the Quartermaster; Prefectorial Board being a Senior Prefect, a short stint in the debate club, robotics, micro mouse, and maybe a few more in which I cannot remember off hand.
What qualities do you have that you think can be used to improve college life?
I feel that such qualities are not for me to say, but in fact for you to tell me, as what I feel and what others see might be 2 different things.
Name a particular flaw that you think you have. How will joining the Student Council be able to help you to change this?
Personally, I am an introvert, having taken several Jung Typology tests which listed me as an INTP/INTJ. I find that by joining council, it would allow me to break free of myself inflicted bonds of anti socialising and be able to bond and interact better with my peers.
