CCA Bazaar

On 11th February 2009, Nanyang held its CCA Bazaar. This year was unlike any other. The theme was carnival and all CCAs stepped up to create a carnival mood while promoting to the first years. This year, CCA leaders were given air time to promote their CCA via catwalk. This was well received by the J1s. They found it fun and interesting since it was quite different from how their various secondary schools displayed CCAs to Secondary 1 students.

A J2 student who chose to remain anonymous commented that this year’s CCA Bazaar had improved from last year’s as it was lively. It was also a good opportunity to allow the J1s to get to know more about NYJC and its various CCAs. Most CCAs reached out to the J1s with freebies like face painting, sweets and bookmarks.

“It was cool to have the councilors and the OGLs mass dance at the end of the event. I’ve not seen this in my secondary school,” said a J1, who wished to remain anonymous.

At 5.30pm, J1s reported to the hall for a marking the end of the CCA Bazaar. In all, CCA Bazaar was a success!
