How Bazaar!
What a way to start things off with our latest cohort of JC1s! On Wednesday, 27th of February, both the CCA Bazaar and PW Festival were held to start their year going.
Earlier in the day, students had learned about Project Work skills and the requirements for a good grade in the subject. Through talks, engaging activities and exhibitions in the atrium, students were able to get a grasp of the subject, and hopefully, how to excel in it.

Later in the afternoon, the CCA Bazaar started off with a bang, with rousing performances by the Band and Chinese Orchestra. This was followed by entertaining challenges by the Dragon-boaters, Kayak-racing team, and Pugilistic society who displayed their showmanship and strength with numerous pull-ups and the crowd counting along with them. These performances surely got everyone going and encouraged a livelier crowd of JC1s who went round choosing their CCAs.

Despite the humid weather that day, students generally found the event an exciting one. Most of them withstood the heat by enjoying the delectable yoghurt from the yoghurt cart provided by the choir. Some were excited to learn about CCAs that they never knew about. The games held by the Rugby and Soccer teams in the field certainly drew the attention of many. Students were also happy to know about student-initiated interest groups, as this would urge them to be innovative and iniciate a CCA themselves.

On the whole, students had an enjoyable time learning about CCAs in Nanyang JC. Certainly, after-school activities should be something to look forward to, what with the unpredictability of life in a JC.
