Foxy Megan Fox is the title they have coined for her, as ridiculous as the title sounds. If you don’t know who Megan Fox is, get out from under that rock this instant. Correction, make that a boulder! After ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ aired worldwide, with her starring as Mikaela Banes, the popularity of Megan Fox shot up incredibly. But in this journalist’s opinion, Megan Fox’s sexiness has been blown out of proportion and is utterly overrated.

Before you point a finger at me and condemn me as another jealous member of the female species, please Google Cheryl Cole, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima and Elisha Cuthbert. You will realise that there are a lot of other irresistible hot babes out there to ogle at than Megan freaking Fox. It is quite appalling to this student journalist that some people know Megan Fox, but do not have the faintest idea who is Gisele Bündchen or Cheryl Cole. Considering Cheryl Cole is FHM’s nominated top sexiest woman in the world of year 2009, she should be the rightful talk of the town. So why is the Fox phenomenon going so strong? As quoted from a male acquaintance of mine, “Megan Fox receives all the hype because she was lucky enough to star in ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’. Her popularity rides on the wave of those machines.”

It has been publicly acknowledged that Fox’s acting is as bad as Paris Hilton’s singing. But how many times have these ‘sex goddesses’ starred in roles with meaningful acting involved? Close to none, since most are only given the opportunity because of their looks, and not their substance. Even Gisele Bündchen played a miserable role of sexy bank robber in 2004’s ‘Taxi’. For those who don’t know, Gisele Bündchen is nothing less than the highest paid model in the world and one of the acclaimed sexiest women alive of all time. But in ‘Taxi’, she did nothing but ‘standstill and look pretty’. Her lines were largely non-existent.

Yes, I acknowledge that she is hot and her body is something to reckon with. But is Megan Fox worth all the hype and fuss that has been going on about her? This journalist does not care whether Megan Fox is really a transvestite or not. It is still somewhat unpleasant to see a sizzling hot female body attached to a somewhat masculine face. Sex sells, and sure enough, that is the reason and probably the only reason why Megan Fox is cashing in the big bucks. Apart from that, she is just another controversial celebrity figure who will quickly pass her use by date and be replaced by a younger, sexier alternative.
