2008… Nanyang, you and me!
Orientation ’08
– The Olympian Odyssey is truly an adventure for our JC 1
students.
It was an opportunity for our student
leaders, the Student Councilor and Orientation Group Leaders alike,
to exhibit their leadership qualities. NYJC believes that every
student can be a leader and thus is one of the many programmes designed
by the college to showcase the leadership capacity of every student.
We want NYJCians to bloom into, mature young adults ready to transit
into the workforce with the capacity to think independently and
have noble aspirations for the future. This is of utmost importance
to our country for they will be leaders of the future.
The strong college spirit was evident
as the student leaders led the various orientation groups through
the games and activities. Survival and cohesion are vital as the
various groups realised that in order to win and outlast the other
groups they have to find their own way to survive (and prosper),
turning challenge into opportunities.
Sentosa, an island of fun and adventure,
was one of the destinations for the orientation programme It is
home of the world-class leisure and living in Singapore; sun-kissed
beach and everything you can ask for, from entertainment to historical
insights. Aren’t you proud to be a Singaporean? |
