Anti-Drug Comic Strips Competition 2008 In the Anti-Drug Comic Strips Competition 2008, NYJC students clinched 11 out of the 13 prizes, including the top 3 positions of Champion, 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner up. The theme for the competition was ‘Be Drug-free. The price for taking drugs is too high to pay.’ and participants were required to create illustrations and text to fit this theme. Lum En-Ci (0834), Lim Qi Xuan (0831) and Deborah Ong (0831) clinched the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize respectively. Lim Jia Qing (0737), Gon Min Ling (0804), Fun Wei Kiat Derrick (0810), Josephine Tan (0831), Andrew Teo (0831), Pang Tiak Hui (0832), Tan Sian Ru (0834) and Shi Yan Jie (0835) were awarded merit prizes.
