Youth Take Charge Programme The Health Promotion Board is sponsoring a Youth Take Charge program this Jan - Mar 2007. As part of this program, students will go through a series of workshop sessions on Saturdays from 20 Jan to 24th Febuary, 9am to 12pm. The Youth Take Charge program is part of the Youth Advolution for Health (YAH) program under HPB. The YAH program provides a platform for youth to be involved in advocating, planning, revolutionising and implementing programs to help their peers lead a healthy lifestyle. The purpose of the Youth Take Charge program is to bring together eager and energetic students to serve as student health ambassadors for their schools. During this program, the students will go through a series of workshops to develop skills such as personal mastery, project management and advocacy. At the culmination of the program, students will present a proposal of the project they intend to implement in their schools. HPB will provide funding for the students' projects to be implemented within a year. Only 5 - 6 vacancies are available and workshop and its on first-come-first-serve basis.
