The War Memorial Service is an event held in remembrance of the victims who sacrificed their lives during World War II. As a major function of the Total Defence Day, it serves as a reminder to the younger generation of the importance of peace, harmony and total defence.

An 'All Clear' siren was sounded by the Singapore Civil Defence to start off the War Memorial Service.
