NE Engagement @ Asian Civilisation Museum

On the 15th August 2007, the staff of NYJC went to the Asian Civilisation Museum for a Learning Journey cum NE Engagement.

It was an enriching experience to the museum where a broad yet integrated perspective of pan-Asian cultures and civilisations were presented. The highlight of the exhibition was the Beauty of Asia from 200 BCE to today. The exhibition brought forth many the many different facets of beauty across Asian cultures, time and space; while at the same time the staff re-looked at the cultures that were brought to Singapore by many different people that settled in Singapore.

The museum visit was part of the programme, there was a workshop was conducted by Mrs. Jane Chong and the NE Committee also. This part of the programme helped the staff to realign and strategise the different perspectives that the staff can engage our students to be active citizens for our country.
