Mr Brando Tan

Music has become parts of Mr Brando Tan's life since his participation in Saint Patrick's School Military Band in the 1990. His enthusiasm towards music did not end after his secondary school years as he went on to Saint Andrew's Junior College Concert Band and was appointed as Section Leader of the Trombone Section then. Two years later, he was selected after a series of auditioning to join the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band and became the principal Bass Trombonist during his National Service. Driven by his passion and love for music, Mr Brando Tan upgraded his musical knowledge and skills at the National Institute of Education and was among the pioneer batch to graduate with a Specialist Diploma in Band directiong in 2004.

As part of his aspiration to bring out the musicality in every band member, Mr Tan has organised and exchanges, concerts, overseas trips and workshops for his students. He believes with constant exposure and experience for the band members, they will develop to be more aesthetically inclined.
