Programme

4-6 years undergraduate course in Peking University. Students who fulfilled the course requirements and passed the thesis defense will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree. Eligibility

Singaporean JC students who will be sitting for the 'A' level examinations in Singapore in 2009 (excluding Private Candidates).

Selection Process

Applications are open from 1 Oct 2009 to 30 Oct 2009. Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit an Application Form together with their Prelims results and relevant supporting documents to the PKU Undergraduate Studies (Overseas Recruitment) Secretariat at the following address: 128 Serangoon Ave 3, Singapore 556111.

Once the application period is closed, a selection panel will be convened to select up to 50 eligible applicants for the final interview by PKU. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by 4 Dec 2009 via email of the outcome of their application.

The final interview by the PKU panel is tentatively scheduled to take place in mid Jan 2010 in Singapore. Details of the interview schedule will be made known to the candidates later.

For academic year 2010/2011, PKU will conditionally offer about 10 places to successful candidates who have performed well in the selection interviews conducted by PKU, subject to their good academic performances at the GCE ‘A’ Level Examinations. The final confirmation of the offer will take place after the release of the GCE ‘A’ Level Examination results in March 2010.

Selected candidates are required to submit a certified true copy of their GCE ‘A’ Level Examination Result Slip to the Secretariat by 15 March 2010. Upon confirmation of the Admissions offer by PKU in April 2010, candidates will receive the PKU Admissions Package by post in July 2010 and can then proceed with their visa application and medical checkup for enrolment into the PKU Undergraduate Studies Programme in September 2010.

Scholarships

PKU will also offer between 5 to 10 partial scholarships to outstanding candidates. Candidates who are offered partial scholarships are exempted from paying school fees for their undergraduate studies at PKU, they will, however, bear all other expenses such as international airfare, accommodation, living expenses, etc. Candidates who are offered admission but not offered partial scholarships will be enrolled as self-financed students if they accept the offer.
