UniBuzz – School of Humanities and Social Sciences
04 Mar 2010
Every year, the Student Well-Being Department invites representatives from the three main tertiary education institutions in Singapore - NUS, NTU and SMU, to provide our students with information about the faculties they have and the courses they offer. The pre-requisites for admission into the various courses are also discussed during the talks that are held on our campus. Entitled “Unibuzz”, these talks are meant to help NYJCians develop an increased awareness of the various courses offered so that they can make more informed career choices in the future.
The second biennial Science Fest was held from 22-26 Feb 2010. The theme for this year’s Science Fest was Science and Innovation, and the catch-phrase for the event was “Imagine It”.
Science Fest 2010 comprised a series of activities to engage the students in research and innovation. These activities included a pre-Science Fest SMS contest, daily science quizzes, scenario-based projects in the laboratories that required students to conduct prior literary research, learning journeys to Action City, Craft Print and Udders Ice Cream, and an innovation challenge.
