Resounding Applause for Orientation 1
“OH MY GOD! DISCO NIGHT ROCKED THE ENTIRE NYJC LAST NIGHT!”As this phrase so aptly puts it, Nanyang Experentia came to an end on a high note on 5th January 2007. After all the hard work gone into preparing for the event, let us see what the JC1s have to say about orientation one. "…faction skits n student council's! THEY WERE FAB!!…DISCO NIGHT eh! I guess that's how clubbing would have been like, just that NYJC DISCO NIGHT ROCKED MORE! Everyone danced like never before and we even did solo dances! :) So super fun!”
“…the OGLs and counsellors were damn high ... soo highly energetic.. kept cheering all day, even in the morning.. at first we were rather reluctant to cheer with them.. resulting in many "cold scenes".. but after some warming up through games, we gradually began to join in =D ...after some games, we practised for the cheering competition.. I thought we would have won it but was disappointed when we didn’t because we did cheer pretty good and loud (as always lol).. and our "enemy" gaia won.. But anyway it was all just for fun :)”
“Woah! NYJC Experiencia was a blast! It was totally cool. I love it a lot!…there was a skit by the student council which I found creative and funny! The emcees were prompting everyone to get high.. but was keeping to themselves.. the OGLs and counsellors taught us lots of cheers and i love it!... started off with ice-breakers. Had a hard time remembering names, and everyone was pretty quiet still. Luckily we had our OGLs… Sentosa was really beautiful! ...we played, cheered, played and cheered. We were “high high” until the afternoon when we were exhausted… fashion parade was hilarious... some people just shook their butts and acted “niang”, funny!”
“Second day of orientaion was pretty alright. Okay we all went to sentosa to play. Yeah it was quite fun. The games were much more sensible and interesting than yesterday's.The Orientation Group Leaders (OGLs) are all actually very nice and enthusiastic. Good effort!! So tomorrow is another day of cheers and DISCO DANCING (faints) wish me all the best! …Today was a tiring day. A long day. A hot day. A cheery day ...Well, I realised its not how fun or what it is, but the friendships made instead… We had the dance today again. Man. Okay I have to admit doing the dance is quite entertaining. But its like you're in a moment of "Hey hey look at me, see how i'm like acting cool' kind of thing. Haha the orientation was a success, SO THREE CHEERS FOR THE OGLS! THREE CHEERS FOR J1's! THREE CHEERS FOR EVERYONE!”
