Get Fit!

Saturday, 5th April saw NYJC gather for the first round of NAPFA test. This event is significant as it is the first time in Nanyang’s history where a whole day was set aside for NAPFA.

Students waiting for their turn

This first round of NAPFA test was primarily for students from the college’s sports CCAs as well as students who passed their NAPFA screening test in Feb. But what is the rationale behind this?

Miss Petrine Lee, the coordinator of the event, commented that the reason for this mass-testing enables more people to come together to motivate each other to do the test. With spectators around them, they would persevere to do their best while having fun.

“I must grab it!!!!!!!”

Although it was organized by the college’s PE department, the event saw the principal, vice principal, HODs and teachers from various departments, helping out and motivating the pupils to do their best. NYJCians showed that they did not crumble under pressure and performed their best that morning as friends stood by them to cheer them on.

Outdoor lesson- Even Mr Kwek turned up to show his support.

All in all, it was both an enriching and refreshing experience for the participants, because training is not only for the body, but for the soul as well.
