Concert Band gears up for big performance

As Aureus Experientia XII approaches, preparations heat up for this bi-annual event, which will be held on 2 June.

So far, the band members are coping quite well, and are all striving very hard to perfect the show. Despite the taxing and stressful rehearsal schedule, students are still willing to go that extra mile for the concert because they find the work most rewarding. Needless to say, discipline is an essential quality as members must, without fail, come down for every practice session as assigned by the seniors.

So what can we expect from the concert?

Besides a whole series of timeless classics, the band will feature familiar tunes from the musical 'Beauty and the Beast' together with beautiful and inspiring songs that will add a touch of grandeur. In addition, a clarinet soloist will be performing a highly unique and intriguing piece called 'Clari-fun-key'. Oh, and 'Junk Jamz Percussion,' who received resounding applause at their recent Synergy performance, will also be banging their way to Victoria Concert Hall on 2^ndJune -- something definitely not to be missed!

Ticket sales have so far been going quite well, but there are still seats to be filled, so be sure to grab a ticket from any band member now. You'll enjoy an evening that showcases the band at its very best in view of next year's SYF.
