From 12 to 14 December 2011, a group of nine JC1 students, myself included, attended an enrichment programme, Science Focus 2011, at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The programme featured electives in the fields of biological, computing, physical, pharmaceutical and quantum sciences, leaving us spoilt for choice.
After a year’s worth of preparation, Team Luceat, comprising 23 students and teachers, embarked on an expedition to Cambodia for 13 days as part of a Service-Learning expedition during the December holidays. The team visited the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh as well as the Cheung Ek killing fields to learn more about the culture and history of Cambodia.
