13th August 2010 marked the start of the duties of the Youth Olympic Games World Culture Village (YOG WCV) team from NYJC. Although preparation for the Austrian booth (NYJC's twinning country) started only a month or two beforehand due to specification requirements, the many days and nights spent on planning, designing, purchasing and constructing the entire booth, designed to appeal to the 5 senses, proved to be very much fruitful.

On 6th August this year, Nanyang Junior College celebrated the nation’s 45th year of independence with a bang. Starting the day with the traditional national day ceremony when all NYJCians came together to sing our National Anthem wholeheartedly and watched the flag ceremony with pride. Following which, the National Day activity organized by the 4th House Executive Committee (House Exco) was declared open.
